Defiant vs other Forge of Empires tools
There are three different kinds of tool in this space and they are not really competing with each other. Here is where each one fits, and where Defiant genuinely is not the right answer.
Feature comparison
Compiled from publicly available information, August 2026. FoE Extender entries cite the cheapest plan that unlocks each feature, from their own published Basic / Standard / Ultra tiers. We have not tested competing tools ourselves, so anything we could not verify is marked rather than guessed.

Defiant rows are taken from the extension’s own interface, not marketing copy. FoE Extender rows marked “not offered” are features absent from the complete feature list they publish with their Basic, Standard and Ultra plans. Smart Scripts and AutoForge publish far less detail, which is why they carry more unverified marks — that reflects the information available, not a judgement about the tools.
Which one do you actually want?
You want data, not automation
Use FoE Helper. It is a calculator and statistics add-on that reads the game without acting on it, and it stays inside the rules. Defiant has working calculators too — GE level tracking, Great Building profit targets, goods and inventory — but for a full calculator suite as the main event, theirs is deeper and we would not pretend otherwise.
You want raw fighting speed
Smart Scripts and FoE Extender both lead with throughput. If fights-per-second is the only number you care about, look there first.
You want breadth and visible control
That is where Defiant sits. GE, GBG, sniping, plunder, collection, city planning and events in one panel, with each action visible rather than hidden behind a single start button.
You do not want a subscription
Defiant is free — no trial timer, nothing to renew, no payment details, and no limit on how many machines you use it from. FoE Extender is free to try for a few hours, then runs $10, $15 or $20 a month, licensed to one computer. Sniping and recurring quests sit in the $20 tier; GBG needs at least $15. Every one of those is included free here.
You want something maintained
Check the last update date before you install anything. Several popular FoE bot repositories have not been touched in years, and the game keeps changing underneath them.
The part most comparisons leave out
Every tool on this page that automates gameplay — Defiant included — is against the Forge of Empires terms of service. InnoGames prohibits third-party software from acting on the game client, and accounts have been banned for it. Any page that tells you a bot is "undetectable" is selling you something.
FoE Helper is the exception on this list: it reads data without automating actions, which is why it has been able to work with the developers rather than around them.
We would rather you decide with that in front of you. Our FAQ covers detection, account risk, and what we do and do not do, without the marketing.
